I felt alive for the first time as i held my newborn daughter in his arms - Thank You God.

Who would of thought, to my surprise,
The day I looked in my daughter's eyes,
That I would find my sunshine, my star, my pearl, All the thoughts in my head, of this little girl.

You came to me on the Eighth of April 2009, That day in my life, I will always remember. I did not know who I was as a man, 'till the moment i picked you up from the bed inside my hands.

And it was at that split moment, when you opened your eyes, your true identity was no longer disguised. As the lights glistened, in your beautiful eyes, Inside I slowly started to cry.

I was given an angel, from heavens' above, The final test as a man, A little girl to love. I believe by God, I must have been touched. I love you and we love you so much.

Your face lights up, whenever you smile, A glow that can last an endless mile.
============
Sent straight from heaven up above
Came an angel for me to love
To hold and rock and kiss good night
To wrap my arms around real tight

To cuddle & nurture and watch her play
To kiss her boo-boo's all away
To keep her safe and warm & count all his toes
To hold the tissue for her when he blows his little nose

To adore & cherish and watch her grow
To guide and teach her all that I know
To see her through good times & help her through bad
To share in her happiness and cry when she's sad

To hold her close and be by her side
To watch her through life as my heart fills with pride
To help her with decisions, the best that I can
To know that someday he'll be a fine young woman

Some Thoughts

Today before you think of saying an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went too early to heaven.
Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn't clean or sweep - Think of the people who are living in the streets.
Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.
But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around.
Life is a gift, Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, And fulfill it.
Winning isn't everything. But wanting to win is.
You would achieve more, if you don't mind who gets the credit.
When everything else is lost, the future still remains.
Don't fight too much. Or the enemy would know your art of war.
The only job you start at the top is when you dig a grave.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for everything.
If you do little things well, you'll do big ones better.
Only thing that comes to you without effort is old age.
You won't get a second chance to make the first impression.
Only those who do nothing do not make mistakes.
Never take a problem to your boss unless you have a solution.
If you are not failing you're not taking enough risks.
Don't try to get rid of bad temper by losing it.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Those who don't make mistakes usually don't make anything
There are two kinds of failures. Those who think and never do, and those who do and never think.
Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win.
All progress has resulted from unpopular decisions.
Change your thoughts and you change your world.
Understanding proves intelligence, not the speed of the learning.
There are two kinds of fools in this world. Those who give advice and those who don't take it.
The best way to kill an idea is to take it to a meeting.
Management is doing things right. Leadership is doing the right things.
Friendship founded on business is always better than business founded on friendship

We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers
Wider freeways, but narrow view points
We spend more, but have less
We buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families
More conveniences, but less time
We have more degrees, but less sense
More knowledge, but less judgment.
More experts, less solutions
More medicine, but less wellness.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values
We talk too much, love too seldom and hate too.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life
We've added years to life, not life to years.
Just Think About It………

Popular Myth

The Myth: Sugar makes kids hyperactive

Dr. Vreeman and Dr. Carroll, both pediatricians at the Riley Hospital for Children recently said: “in at least 12 double-blinded, randomized, controlled trials, scientists have examined how children react to diets containing different levels of sugar. None of these studies, not even studies looking specifically at children with attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, could detect any differences in behavior between the children who had sugar and those who did not.” This includes artificial and natural sources of sugar. Interestingly, in the study, parents who were told their children had been given sugar when they hadn’t, noted that the child was more hyperactive. So it seems it is all in the parent’s mind.

The Best Salesman

A pastor concluded that his church was getting into serious financial troubles.

While checking the church storeroom, he discovered several cartons of new bibles that had never been opened and distributed.

So at his Sunday sermon, he asked for three volunteers from the congregation who would be willing to sell the bibles door-to-door for $10 each to raise the desperately needed money for the church.

Jack, Paul and Louie all raised their hands to volunteer for the task. The minister knew that Jack and Paul earned their living as salesmen and were likely capable of selling some bibles. But he had serious doubts about Louie who was a local farmer,
who had always kept to himself because he was embarrassed by his speech impediment.

Poor Louis stuttered badly. But, not wanting to discourage Louis, the minister decided to let him try anyway.

He sent the three of them away with the back seat of their cars stacked with bibles.

He asked them to meet with him and report the results of their door-to-door selling efforts the following Sunday.

Eager to find out how successful they were, the minister immediately asked Jack, "Well, Jack, how did you make out selling our bibles last week?"

Proudly handing the reverend an envelope, Jack replied, "Using my sales prowess, I was able to sell 20 bibles, and here's the $200 I collected on behalf of the church."

"Fine job, Jack!" The minister said, vigorously shaking his hand. "You are indeed a fine salesman and the Church is indebted to you."

Turning to Paul, "And Paul, how many bibles did you sell for the church last week?"

Paul, smiling and sticking out his chest, confidently replied,"I am a professional salesman. I sold 28 bibles on behalf of the church, and here's $280 I collected."

The minister responded, "That's absolutely splendid, Paul. You are truly a professional salesman and the church is also indebted to you."

Apprehensively, the minister turned to Louie and said, "And Louie, did you manage to sell any bibles last week?" Louie silently offered the minister a large envelope.

The minister opened it and counted the contents. "What is this?" the minister exclaimed. "Louie, there's $3200 in here! Are you suggesting that you sold 320 bibles for the church, door to door, in just one week?"

Louie just nodded. That's impossible!" both Jack and Paul said in unison. "We are professional salesmen, yet you claim to have sold 10 times as many bibles as we could"

"Yes, this does seem unlikely," the minister agreed. "I think you'd better explain how you managed to accomplish this, Louie."

Louie shrugged. "I-I-I re-re-really do-do-don't kn-kn-know f-f-f-for sh-sh-sh-sure," he stammered.

Impatiently, Paul interrupted. "For crying out loud, Louie, just tell us what you said to them when they answered the door!"

"A-a-a-all I-I-I s-s-said wa-wa-was," Louis replied , "W-w-w-w-would y-y-y-you l-l-l-l-l-like t-t-to b-b-b-buy th-th-th-this b-b-b-b-bible f-f-for t-t-ten b-b-b-bucks

Beloved Father - On his birth anniversay

I know this man
Who is dear to my heart
Suddenly one day
It was torn all apart

This man who taught me every thing
That I needed to know
But I never really listened
Until he had to go

He gave me love
And touched my life
Its all over now
He no longer has to fight

He tried to teach me
Right for wrong
The day he left
I wasn't that strong

He is gone now
It is hard to believe
This man is my dad
Who I will never see

But I will see him again
This I know
The day will come
When its time for me to go

So, I'll hold him dear
And close to my heart
Cause the day we meet
I know we'll never be torn apart.
---------------
We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.
--------------
Gone...but where?
I can't call you on the phone
I can't knock on your door
No matter how loud I scream you can’t respond

You fought with your heart and your soul
you fought for us...
where are you?

I want to hug you and tell you we love you Again
I want sit, laugh and smile the way only you could make me
I miss you like crazy dad
I just wish I could find you somewhere out there to let you know.
-----------
I'm sitting here in my room, looking at your picture.
Wondering why you couldn't be a part of my future.
Uncontrollable tears stream down my face,
while my heart beat starts to race.
Asking god why he took you from my life,
it was more painful than stabbing me in the heart with a knife.
I still needed you here
you were the one to make everything so clear.
you are apart of me and we were a part of you
when you died a part of me died too.
I never knew how hard it was to loose someone you love
until the day you went to heaven above.

Even though I can't see,
I know your up there watching over me.
I miss you more and more everyday
and all I can do is pray.
In my heart you shall forever remain.

Dedicated to my father who died a peaceful death on June 5, 2008
by wife, sons & daughter (in-laws, too)

Airlines

Here are some examples of airline attendants that told in the in-flight safety lecture (They are real)

"There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane..."

"Your seat cushions can be used for floatation, and in the event of an emergency water landing, please take them with our compliments."

"We do feature a smoking section on this flight; if you must smoke, contact a member of the flight crew and we will escort you to the wing of the airplane.

"Smoking in the lavatories is prohibited. Any person caught smoking in the lavatories will be asked to leave the plane immediately."

Pilot - "Folks, we have reached our cruising altitude now, so I am going to switch the seat belt sign off. Feel free to move about as you wish, but please stay inside the plane till we land... it's a bit cold outside, and if you walk on the wings it affects the flight pattern." As we waited just off the runway for another airliner to cross in front of us, some of the passengers were beginning to retrieve luggage from the overhead bins. The head attendant announced on the intercom,

"This aircraft is equipped with a video surveillance system that monitors the cabin during taxiing. Any passengers not remaining in their seats until the aircraft comes to a full and complete stop at the gate will be strip-searched as they leave the aircraft."

Once on a Southwest flight, the pilot said, "We've reached our cruising altitude now, and I'm turning off the seat belt sign. I'm switching to autopilot, too, so I can come back there and visit with all of you for the rest of the flight."

"Should the cabin lose pressure, oxygen masks will drop from the overhead area. Please place the bag over your own mouth and nose before assisting children or adults acting like children."

"As you exit the plane, please make sure to sure to gather all of your belongings. Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave children or spouses."

"Last one off the plane must clean it."

And from the pilot during his welcome message: "We are pleased to have some of the best flight attendants in the industry... Unfortunately none of them are on this flight...!"

Another flight Attendant's comment on a less than perfect landing: "We ask you to please remain seated as Captain Kangaroo bounces us to the terminal."

After a particularly rough landing during thunderstorms in Memphis, a flight attendant on a Northwest flight announced: "Please take care when opening the overhead compartments because, after a landing like that, sure as hell everything has shifted."

From a Southwest Airlines employee.... "Welcome aboard Southwest Flight XXX to YYY. To operate your seatbelt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seatbelt, and if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised. In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, oxygen masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child traveling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are traveling with two small children, decide now which one you love more. Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but they'll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Southwest Airlines.
